The Church is first mentioned in the scrolls of Badia a Passignano already in the year 884, but the most important evidence of this Church, is that was later confirmed to the Bishops of Fiesole by Pope Paschal II and by Pope Innocent II in 1003 and 1034.
The structure Looks like a building that has numerous connections with the Lombard Romanesque style.
On the right side of the churh there is the Bell Tower, which is a reconstruction, because the original was destroyed in some battles of the past.
