The Church of san Lorenzo is located on the Summit of a hill mentioned in a 12th century document as Sancto in Colle, while the Church is first mentioned in 1178.
Thanks to recent renovations, the building is in a good state: the Interior is well preserved and has a rectangular Hall with a roof made with cavernous limestone. The walls are covered with frescoes dating from the early fourteenth century, that are an interesting example of the artistic development of Sienese painting from that period.
