San Giovanni Evangelista Church

The original shrine was probably built in the eighth century according to the canons of the Cathedral of Siena.
Born as a simple Chapel of convenience for the people, over time the Church received some income from the noble Ricasoli family of Brolio, which held the patronage. The façade of the Church is made up of squared stone blocks.

In the sacristy there is a remarkable canvas dated 1609, depicting the Madonna and child with Saints John the Evangelist and Nicholas of Bari, attributed to Rutilio Manetti.
