The Church has belonged to the Diocese of Fiesole since the 11th century and was included in the parish of San Leonino in conio. This building has always been at the center of military strifes because it is situated along the border between Siena and Florence.
The greatest artistic value can be found in the façade that was restored after the collapse of a part of it.
